Refund policy
Plain rules, applied the same way for everyone. Where the law of your country gives you more, the law wins.
Codex membership
- Cancel at any time from your account. Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for; nothing further is charged.
- A first monthly or annual payment is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of paying and have read fewer than three member-only chapters.
- Renewals are refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of the renewal and have not used the Engine or opened a member-only chapter since.
- Otherwise renewals are not refunded in part; cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
The Book
- A pre-order is refunded in full at any time before the digital edition is delivered.
- After delivery, a refund is given within 14 days of delivery if you have not downloaded the edition and have read fewer than three of its chapters in the Codex.
Institutional licence
- Refunded in full within 30 days of the first payment if no more than one seat has been used.
- Renewals are not refunded; the licence holder is reminded by e-mail 14 days before each renewal and may cancel from the account.
Faults and duplicates
A duplicate charge, a charge for something you did not receive, or a Product that does not work as described is refunded in full, whenever it is reported.
How to ask
Write to contact@ksc-jusnrem.io from the e-mail address on the account, with the receipt or order number. Refunds are made by the payment partner that took the payment (Paddle, Lemon Squeezy or Stripe) to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 working days of approval. Where Paddle or Lemon Squeezy is merchant of record you may also ask them directly.
Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract for digital content. By starting to read member-only chapters or using the Engine within those 14 days you ask us to begin performance at once and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is then lost for the content supplied; the refund rules above still apply.
